Angry Film scheduling over Christmas

Why is it all the best films will be on at 3am or some similar stupid time, with all the crap films/soaps/general pointless drivel will be occupying the prime slots.

Prime example, High Plains Drifter, tomorrow morning 03.15 am ITV. Everything before it all day it absolute crap.

Have noticed it many times, very good films on at unwatchable hours while total ****e clutters up the listings.

What shocked me was that there was no big film premiere on xmas day!
Nowt better than collapsing into a arm chair on Xmas afternoon, belly full of turkey, beer in hand

£50 - ouch. I don't pay that much. Mind you we do use it a lot for recording stuff on the Discovery channels. Finally got the RF out working back through to the distribution box so now ripping all the old stuff off on to my PC.

I'm guessing she means the package rather than NTL as a whole.

Nope. Been with them for years and you can just have the channels put on and taken off whenever you want.

So, like I said, you plan to dump the channels, not NTL as a whole

Why not? I have an extensive dvd collection yet still on occasion watch the broadcasted films even if i have them on dvd. I do not possess any recording formats like a VCR or DVD recorder etc.

I recorded the said film above on Sky+. Just had a preview and was disappointed to find it is "signed". ie man in bottom right corner of screen performing sign language. Great, but I wish I could switch him off as my hearing is fine! Or is it only deaf people that watch tv during these hrs?

Oh well, won't lose any sleep. I'll borrow the DVD off one of my mates!

I've got High Plains drifter on dvd, wanna hire it? lol Obviously if there's news breaks etc I won't watch it if I have the dvd. But terrestrial does show a good load of films during the day, some of which are most excellent and you'd be hard pushed to find on dvd.
