Unhappy my ebay tv is broken...

my second tv that i bought isnt working properly. when i turn it on the screen is yello and green with a 4" wide vertical yello stripe down the middle of the screen
it is an lcd with built in dvd player.

it was bought as new, and i am waiting for the seller to call me.
what are my right here, can anyone help me


its not my realisys, that is still flipping brilliant

Well you did buy cheap didnt you. Still, no excuse for something not working properly though.

If you paid via Visa your covered under the EQUAL LIABILITY ACT so they should be able to sort it

If it once worked for you, and now doesn't work, then you haven't a leg to stand on (metaphorically of course, I have seen your legs and they are lovely )

Your cheap TV came without a guarantee.

if he is a "trader" you've got the sales of goods act on your side.

If he's not a trader, I don't think you've much of a leg to stand on

Coz that's fraud. They then check the serial number and realise what's going on, call the police etc. Nice way to spend xmas locked up eh!

i spoke to the bloke last night he said the tv came from china, he has offered to refund the money for me. i paid using paypal and he is not a treder as such. he has given me his address so i can return the tv.....
