Gordon Browns has c0cked up big time!!
http://personalfinance.iii.co.uk/art...est%20Pensions
I fail to see how even die hard NL fans can defend his record regarding pensions and the economy - as has been said by critics for some time, his policies have been TOTALLY unsustainable!
WHo's up for a recession then?.....
The Chancellor plans to continue to spend the current amount – just over 5% of GDP – on state pensions for donkey’s years to come, despite the fact that there will be twice the number of pensioners to divide it amongst.
An economic growth rate of just 1.75% when 9 months ago he said it would be 3.5%. And a budget deficit of £11 billion when he said it would be just £6 billion. Surely this time we will get an admission of getting it wrong, if not an apology?

Grrr
Anyone who is like me appealling against a reclaim of tax credit overpayments will know just how innept the government are with means tested benefits.
Watchdog had some accountants trying to calculate the repayment amount on the rediculous letter they send, and none of them got the same answer at the DWP's ZX81.
