Our beloved council are proposing to ban 'dirty' vehicles from the centre of York. No details yet, but it is said to include old buses (the tourist ones are terrible), lorries, vans (that'll be the shops shut then) and older cars.

Just glad I live outside town, and rarely have to drive in. I can't see them classing my 12 year old decat Scoob, or even my wife's 2.5l Volvo as clean cars. I can only imagine they'll have blanket ban on cars over a certain age - it'd be a huge job looking at every model of car.

And a local election is looming - very brave!
