Question Shift Pattern Query

We have 5 couriers doing a certain shift and I need this coverage for 7 days week/365 days year with 3 people on each shift.

What is the best way of splitting it up so that it is

a) equable

b) easy to manage

Changing the shift hours is not an option

Thanks

12 hrs

Opt out working time directive stuff and driver max hours/week dont count either

However an "average" per courier of 40-48 per week over the year is the target

I work 4 on 4 off 13 hour shifts i share it with another IT technician so there is always one of us in.

Our factory operate 365 days a year.

It kills me though, i have been here a year now and still not used to it. Everyone i have spoken to who works here says you'll never get used to it.

I am in doing overtime at so will go 12 days without a break. 6 days in and it is getting alot easier to wake up, i imagine your body adapts to a routine though

I work shifts, 2 days of 12 hours and 2 nights again 12 hours, then 4 off. It has its upsides and its down sides too, but once your used to it, very easy and your body doesn't get used to the nights either.

Also it works out over a 17 week period to 39 hours a week.

Thanks peeps

I've just gone for the staggered 5 on 2 off process.

Means that I have 1 additional on Thursday & 2 on Friday but am happy for that 100%

Cheers all
