Default changing from ericsson to nokia

I want to transfer my numbers from my P900 to my new phone when it arrives.

The annoying thing is that when you transfer via the simcard route, it can only associate one number with each contact. So each person ends up being jon smith 1 - mobile
jon smith 2 - home
jon smith 3 - work

etc.

The only previous way of doing this right is with a pc suite. That is great if you have the same phone or sometimes make.

what I want is a way of transferring toa pc suite type file that is aware of all the different mobile phone languages of the different phones so that I can centrally store my phone numbers and then update to whichever phone I end up with but in the correct format for that phone.

does such a thing exist?

yes, we're just finishing writing the interface for an online contacts backup / edit / merge / replace . There may be others in the market already ...

Well the Nokia PC suite synchronises with Outlook. Not sure about Ericsson, but you could look at using that as an intermediary.

You may be able to export the data with Float's Mobile Agent into XML (or another format) which can then be read in by the Nokia's proprietary software.

Sony Ericsson software can sync with Outlook as well - might be an idea to export all your contacts to Outlook then import them again using the Nokia software

Yep the ericsson XTNDConnect sync with outlook contacts so there should be no problem syncing up your address book.

Like everyone else said, just sync them with Outlook or get a blackberry
