Question Best way to sell a watch??

I'm thinking of selling my Tag watch & am looking for options of where to sell it.

Obvious one is ebay.
Not sure if Jewellers would be interested?
Anyone here sold a reasonable value watch?

which ever way you sell it be prepared for quite a loss , i was going to do the same thing until the price i was quoted was way below what i thought it was worth , as fro ebay have you seen how many watches are on there ? it's only worth putting it on ebay if it's rare , and even then you will be sick of answering " is it a fake ?" questions !!

How old is it.If its fairly new and in VG condition a decent jeweller may give you a good px for it.Auto's are worth more.

If not,put it on ebay but.....

1.UK sale only
2.Lots of pics
3.Show the receipt (if you have it)
4.Any service record.

Watches often get poor prices cos people think they are sold by dealers,or they are badly presented.

Tags deprciate at a massive rate , watch dealers will offer a pittance ( many will not buy Tag ) , Ebay is probably your best route deprnding on the model you can expect 35-50% of RRP if in excelleant condition

I recently sold my Omega seamaster by just postin it in "general sale" sections on a few car forums.Took a while but i got my asking price in the end.
What Model etc etc Tag do you have?

As has been said,Tags do depreciate rapidly, unless its something out of the ordinary.

Last year i bought a 2000 series crono with SS strap, lovely condition with all the boxes and receipts etc,£90..was a bargain..Only to find Tags turn my wrist gammy due to the high zinc content in the steel they use!!

Good luck

I have this one, a Kirium F1. Had it for about 2.5 years, only worn it occasionaly.

If it try & sell it at a motorway services, i probably won't get a decent price, will I? Don't I have to start at £1000 & then work my way down to about a tenner!
