So, given that official policy is that speeding fines are used to buy more cameras, and the front facing Truvelo camera is now more popular than the old gatso, that means that when you pay your 60 quid, some of it will be going to a South African arms manufacturer.
I wonder if they sell to Iran too?

In a 45-page report released today, "A Question of Principle: Arms Trade and Human Rights," Human Rights Watch charged the South African government with selling weapons to countries with serious human rights problems, where an influx of weaponry could significantly worsen ongoing abuses.
Human Rights Watch noted that after 1994, South Africa announced more restrictive policies on arms transfers. But the report charges that those policies are not always being followed. In 1994, a scandal erupted involving the sale by Armscor, the apartheid-era governmental arms export agency, of weapons to Yemen for probable on-shipment to the former Yugoslavia, then under U.N. embargo.

I also note from that page that they sell to Zimbabwe and Korea. They don't state which Korea and I know if it were me and I was selling to South Korea, I'd want to make the point pretty clearly that it's South Korea, and not Kim Jong Il
Edit: and no, but there is a difference between were and arms manufacturer and are currently an arms manufacturer. Subaru used to make aircraft for the Japanese military back in the war.
Truvelo are currently shipping arms to countries with known human rights violations (Zimbabwe) and the UK police are funding them with your speeding fines
