Voyager - new series....?
IM will now disown me and/ or rip the p1$$ for some considerable time but...... I'm sure I saw a trailer for a new series of Star Trek Voyager on TV at the weekend. Is this true.....? Didn't they make it home at the end of the last series....? Has it already been on sky? Is it any good?

Season 7 was the last of Voyager, no more have been made since. Admiral Janeway did make an appearance in Star Trek: Nemisis, giving Jean Luc his mission to go to Romulus.
As for them making it home, have a read of this review by Jammer (very good ST site actually). Does include spoilers.

I watched all of Voyager up to the very end so was rather surprised to see them billing this as a 'new series'.....

Aha - tracked it down to the Channel Five website (couldn't remember which channel I was watching when I saw the ad). It's actually episode 1 series 1 (The Caretaker) http://www.five.tv/tvguide/ but it's still being billed as a new series 
Surely it's been shown on terrestial TV already......?

its a new series for Five because they havent shown it before. Ive noticed theyve done that several times but i was like "er no thats not a premiere cos it was shown in Aug 2002, June 2000 and like on May 12th 1998 oh & the tribble reference in episode 5 was like in homage to George of Lucas who looks like one, that had a special cameo director, none other than one of the actual tribbles that actually starred in the original & dare i say the best star trek thus completing the "geeky injoke" that only trekkie love...or was that an Ewok....
