Reigate, scum punctures my best mate tyres every fortnight, what can we do?
Hi,
Here is the story. My mate lives in Reigate (woodhatch) and some scum punctures his tyres every fortnight...
This is going silly, we told the the police, but nothing seems to be done about it.
This guy is one of the nicest person I know, very kind, always helpful father of 3, hard to thing someone couldn't like him. He's not earning a lot of money, runs a cheap car and can't really afford to move house right now. The stress and expenses generated is about to ruin is life and plunge him into debts.
Any good suggestion much appreciated.
Kriss

You know when its going to happen ............... sit in the back of the car with a baseball bat.
Put a vidoe camera up and video each night.
Tie your BIG dog to the bumper.
Move the car.

Camera seems your only way forward mate if there's somewhere to mount it.
It's inconvenient to be there almost constantly so as to hope to catch them at it. Even if you do, what's to say they're not the fastest runner you've ever met, or worse big and aggresive. Forget the police unless you have definate evidence - you're wasting your time with those c**ts.
If it was me i would hire a private investigator. It might be a little dear but i guarantee he'll get to the bottom of it and get the important videographic evidence required. Once you have this you can either pay someone to deal with the culprit in an illegal manner (almost certainly they won't be slashing tyres again), or take the footage to the police in which case wait months for them to catch them even though they've got him visibly on camera commiting the offence.
Initial expense of P.I would be worth it in my opinion. I hope the bloke can afford it. Shouldn't be too much.

"I'm sorry, yer Honor, but after he stuck the knife in my tyre he attacked me with the same weapon! Do you REALLY think six shots in his chest was excessive?"

What an odd post.
Either someone doesn't like him, much to your disbelief, or there's something silly happening like there is a nail in the road nearby which he keeps driving over.
Can't believe someone picks on the same "cheap" car every two weeks without reason.

They suspect it is all the work of one person. Police have never caught him - "no evidence" apparently, despite the local shop having him on CCTV actually knifing a tyre. Police still hadn't collected the video a week after they were informed it existed.

Agree that you can't rely on the police to deal with this.
Whoever is doing this is a nasty peice of work.
I wouldn't feel sorry for whoever it is if they had serious harm done to them.
In all honesty I can't say exactly how I would move things forward.
Very dissapointing that the police don't tackle these problems as peoples lives are literally made an absolute misery by these low lifes.

Vigalance Committees watch for, capture, try and convict and then punish idiots that persist in nefarious activities.
Get out there and DO something about it if your police will not!!
We do it in America,
But then someone will just say, "Only in America!"

Easy situation to deal with this... Just take it easy and dont flip..YET!! Wait and watch the car overnight with video cameras..Wait for the tw*ts/s then follow them home.. The night later smash all their house and car windows.. Bet then they will stop..lol..!!! any money!!
