Ideas for days out in London
Anyone have suggestions for a good day out in london for myself and a ladyfriend. Something seasonal would be nice, but not essential.
Thanks in advance.

PS. Some serious suggestions in addition to the usual: 'get her drunk, take her to a hotel and send us the video evidence' would be nice!

A trip on the Eye, Regents Street for the lights, Hamley's for some toys and perhaps a trip to Harrods which is always nice at Christmas. Maybe there's too much shopping involved there for a bloke?

If you want seasonal then http://www.somersethouseicerink.org.uk/ is always popular, prob best to book in advance.
London Eye is good, esp if you know someone with an Oyster Card as you can get 2 for 1 making it reasonable at 6 quid. Best thing to do is go there early and buy your ticket, if you ask they will tell you what time sunset is so you can then plan to be on there then.
Have a good time!

GO to a top restaurant like le gavroche ir ramsays. Set lunch in Le Gavroche is only £44.00 per person including wine . Considering its the best restaurant in the country thats very cheap.

Get a decent map of the city, ditch the tube and walk around. You'll see tons more and not get squashed to a bloody pulp in the process! In the winter I love getting me a packet of hot chestnuts and going to watch the buskers in Covent Garden. Leicester Square usually has something going on as well - just stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere - it's especially fab after dark.
In fact we both have a couple of days off this week - I feel a trip into town coming on.....
Cheers!

LONDON BABY!?!
I would make sure you take the train into london, then you can have a nice lunch anywhere you fancied, i love the hard rock cafe, nice place to go.
Then have a look roudn the shops, and finish with a show, We Will Rock You is on at the moment at the dominion theatre which is great, i wasnt a queen fan really but this show is great. Went last week and the other half is still talking about it!
Or is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang still on as that was my first show i went to, and was superb.
Lion King is very good, probably on par or maybe better than chitty chitty bang bang.
Other one to see right now is mary poppins, that was excellent also, even if they added a few songs!

I always enjoy a boat trip up the Thames when I have mates from the continent visit and want to do the tourist thing. Might be a bit chilly this time of year though
