Just hook your dvd recorder up as you would have with a vcr, its probably auto tuned itself and then record, if it is for recording programmes saved onto the Sky+ you can either watch and record or just use the copy optiion, which I believe is a syncronised way of recording, never used it personally, just watched and recorded.

I just record the same way as recording terrestrial TV programmmes but making sure the TV is set to the channel that is tuned in to Sky. You can record the programme with Sky+ and then copy it but you can't set the Sky box to any other channel while you're copying the programme.
