Default Petrol Prices

Me moan when the prices go up and call for Tony's Head, so let us congratulate him on getting the prices down

86p a litre round here and expected to fall more.

The man should be knighted.......Sir Tony does have a certain ring about it

Was thinking similar yesterday, without the political slant.

Down to around 85p for regular petrol for the commuting car at one of the supermarkets.

Billy boy and his sidekick in the Treasury won't like the prices to go down and reduce the VAT that they cream off.

Erm, tax levels etc are all exactly the same as they were before. It's just the price of crude, refining etc has come down recently, which is why we are seeing cheaper prices at the pumps. Nothing to do with Tony or NL at all...

So? All the crap posted on here when prices were rising were nothing to do with NL??

Can't have it both ways!!

In actual fact, in real terms, the TAX take from petrol sales HAS dropped in line with the lower price!!!!!

Remarkable, Tony Blair .... we acknowledge your leadership and salute you!

Actually, if you took time to read those posts from back then, you would see that I actually said at the time that the sudden hike in prices was not the fault of the government. So, I'm not having it both ways at all. They weren't responsible for the hike, and they're not responsible for the drop either.

You are claiming the drop is the result of nl amazing leadership, when in fact it has nothing to do with them at all. Makes you just as bad as those folks that were blaming labour in the first place in my book.

The percentage is exactly the same "in real terms".

Amazing leadership skill there. Leave everything the same and do nothing. Bet it took ages to think of that one...

carefull Pete,

remember tonys theman that assured you and his cronies an early retirement, at our expense..

id say that makes you very much bought and paid for.

would you be crowing if all civil servants had to work until they were 70, and the rest of us stopped at 65

More like I advanced my career and started working for a company in the real world. Not one with no competitors and a guaranteed revenue from the government!
