Kids and swearing
younger daughter ran into the room earlier and started jumping up and down shouting "Emma said the R word, Emma said the R word" ... This would more usually be "Emma said the F word, B word or C word - F**k, Ba**ard, C*nt.
I told them to stop fighting and sent them on their way. After pondering the entire thing for about an hour I couldn't come up with a suitable swear word that begins with R. On further questioning it all became clear

When we moved to my present address, my daughter who was 6 and was more used to the subtly posh-in-compairson local council flats came running in and said "The girl across the road said a rude word to me, but I can't tell you what it is because you'll tell me off". I told her she could say it provided she was only quoting what the girl had said. Of course it was the then infamous F-word. But for years after, when it became the norm for her, she used to say 'Wel, I'm only quoting ....."!
