Hope someone on here can help?

I want to post some pictures of my car on here, but don't have the first idea how.

I've got the photo's on my digi camera, but can't get them off onto the pc via the RGB lead.

Assuming I can do that, how do I get them posted?

Thanks for any help given.

well I think that part of youjr problem is that most digi camera's dont transfer the pics using an RGB cable..that is usually reserved for digi video camera's.most use usb.
but once you have them on your PC, open up an account here
Photobucket
upload your pics using this site from your pc to your online album.
then using the copy and paste commands copy the IMG tag beneath your picture.
create a new post on here, and paste in the IMG tag.
Preview your post to see how it looks and away you go.
repeat for other pics.
BTW photobucket also lets you resize your pic if it is too big for the post.

^^^^^^^

What he said, plus:
If you click on "reply", you'll see a set of icons at the top of the window that has opened. Click on the one with a scene in it, (bottom row, third from right), and then paste your URL from Photobucket into the little window that has now opened at the top of your page. Once you click on "OK" it will appear on your post. If it's too big, delete it, and go back to Photobucket, click on "Edit" and resize it.

Also, I bought a cheap card reader form a local camera shop to transfer my photos from off my Compact Flash cards, very easy, and in XP the Wizard does it all for you. As soon as I plug the card reader into a USB port, my computer recognises it, and starts up the Wizard.

Cheers Guys.

I meant USB, not RGB as previously stated. Just need to ge them onto my pc. Can do it on the home pc, but not the work one where I do my posting. Need to save them to a disc.

What's the best format to save images as?

Tif, GPEG etc?

You got cdrw?
burn them to that, or better still use one of those little USB memory sticks, cheap.
JPEG will do mate, GPEG must be a new format we dont know of Just joking mate
no point making them too high res as photobucket has a limit on file sizes when you upload anyway.
