Default New shaver recommendations?

I need a new shaver, I'm used to foil shavers my current is a Remington & before that a Braun. I suppose I'll get another foil shaver, it also needs to be rechargable as I have no shaver socket on my bathroom. I like the idea of the self-clean ones. Budget is not an issue. Any recommendations please?

Braun or Philishave. The more expesive the better (don't buy the cheapy philips with the fixed heads go for the more expensive with the pivot/reflex heads ). It is a case you get what you pay for with these.

All the others I've had wear out/break in less than 2years, or burn thorugh foils/blades in a matter of months.

Used a Braun 8000 self-clean for the last 2 years and it's still running strong, no complaints at all.

Thanks guys, the Braun sounds like one to go for. Not sure I can figure those floaty head ones, are they any good? Surely it's easier just to move your hand a bit!

I'm not sure about those rotary things after being used to foil for years. Has anyone changed from foil to rotary?

Braun 8585

Self clean, from Costco £85!

the same looking braun model i had before lasted 5 years I have only just replaced it with the above.

My hair is like wire (cant shave with a gillette) so they are pretty good!
