The front engine looked fine afterwards... And I think have of one of the Yokohama stickers will be salvageable.
Wasn't it VW who ran an advert a few years ago about NOT trying to modify their cars?

I was watching it and waiting for the moment the rear engine went into space - it was moving around a bit. Could well have been a fuel line pulled away as the engine lurched around.

What's the point spending all that money building something like that, then abusing it like a complete **** as soon as there's a crowd
He should try a bit of mechanical sympathy next time, it goes a long way

Looks like a fuel related fire - induction system probably spat a flame out on the overrun igniting the fuel that had leaked.
No huge fan would have stopped that happening...maybe some better engine mounts to stop the thing moving around so much. I bet he had braided teflon fuel lines...so much flex on the engine movement would easily fracture them (just like your fancy braided brake hoses...there's a lesson for you Can't beat rubber )
Front engine still looks ok though
