Default dilema - what should i do ??

i reversed my car out of a parking space ages ago and reversed into another car which was also reversing out of a space. i didnt see him at all , and he claims he wasnt moving.
we went through the insurance and its gone 50/50, it probably was my fault but im not 100% sure as i didnt see him.
i replaced the broken light on mine but have not yet sorted out spraying the rear bumper.
ive seen him since the accident and his cars been repaired but he insists i owe him £200 for his excess he has had to pay due to the fact its gone 50/50 and he is adament it was my fault....

what do i do ?? pay up or tell him to clear off ??

Send the letter to your insurance company; certainly dont pay, your policy indemnifies you. Id tell him to **** off myself.

Surely, if it's been settled 50/50 by the insurance companies then that's the end of the matter.

Politely, but firmly, tell him to take a running jump.

umm if the insurance co decided 50/50 then you both have to accept that and both pay your excesses.

aye pay your own excess then leave it, if he persists, tell him you'll pay his £200 excess if he pays your £350 excess

Do not pay his excess!!!

Sometimes things like this go 50/50 when its clearly 100% someones fault, but thats the way it goes. I had to pay a 900quid excess for an accident which wasnt my fault, but sh*t happens! He should just pay up and forget about it!

50/50 is 50/50 - if he continues to harass you just tell him you'll refer the matter back to your solicitor.

Ask him to put it in writing - then forward to insurance company - then forget it.

His disagreement is with his insurance co - that accepted 50:50, not you.
