Rental Cars

Has anyone ever tried to rent a car with a tow bar? I can't find this option anywhere...

never tried with a car, but had a lot of m/soprt customers struggling with getting vans now..................think its to do with the extra potential for damage/abuse when towing...............

I work for a car rental company and its company policy that the hirer has to fit his/her own tow bar to the vehicle, the same goes for roof racks and child seats,this is so the rental company cant be held responsible in the event of an accident involving said items.
