Sometimes I sign into my account, then when I go to bid on something I have to sign in again. If it asks you for your name/password every time you open the homepage it might be something to do with cookies.

once you are logged in to one ebay window, launch all new windows from that window and it will retain the pwd
i.e. for a search, right click on "advanced search" and select open in new window and continue to "open in new window" on anything you click on......

the MOST annoying thing is, if i open ebay.co.uk and search for something it says at the top of the screen "welcome mickyowens" etc etc
IT KNOWS ITS ME< ITS JUST TAUNTING ME< WHY DO I NEED TO ADD MY DETAILS WHEN I THEN CLICK "my ebay"

I think this is an issue with Firefox. Is they a common factor for all those with problems?
Well, I say a problem with Firefox (or any other than IE), but actually I think it's just the ebay web developers not using correct html standards and wrting code that only works properly on one browser.

Also does this for me, but never used to before (using IE).
Deleted all temp internet files and cookies (meaning i've had to re-login to every other site again), but its still the same.
Very annoying.

I have the same issue & tried to solve it a while back (have now given up!). At the time, I thought it may be something to do with my Antivirus - when I disabled AV, it seemed to work ok. Obviously I couldn't permanently have AV disabled, so I now have to login each time . . .
