Best Freeview Box??
Now we have moved and have a much stronger arial I am going to get another freeview box, mainly to take advantage of the better picture quality and getting BBC3.
the last one I had had such a terrible remote control and interface, can anybody recommend one that has a) a top-up-tv card slot and b) a good remote and interface.
Must be less than £100 otherwise it stops becoming an 'impulse purchase', if you know what I mean.

The £29:99 Sagem box that Argos have is actually very good. Ive had what is essentially the same receiver but with a second SCART connector for a while and Im happy with it. It doesnt have a card reader but 'Top-Up TV' is of little interest. The £130 40Gb PVR that they offer is reasonable for the money too. I have a much dearer Philips box also and its markedly inferior.....

Don't know about the cheapies, but the Topfield 5800 is amongst the best out there. Have a look around on AV Forums or check out http://www.toppy.org.uk/ and http://www.toppy.tv/ .

If you have DVD + Video + TV I'd recommend any box with two SCART sockets.
I got a cheapie £40 job from Tesco, works fine but it's a bloody cable nightmare cos it's only single SCART, and I can't get a good video recording off freeview because of it. Took a good hour arsing around with different cables to get it to work.
Twin SCART = plug and play.
