Vegas in January

Vegas in January
We (me and my misses and another couple) were looking at going on a skiing holiday in January, bu a knee injury has put pay to that
We are now thinking of going to Vegas instead.
Has anyone been in January time? I know it won't be as hot then, but will it still be a good holiday? I take it everything will still be open?
Any tips/advice welcome.
Cheers
Steve

I shouldn't think it matters when you go to be honest.
You'll have a great time.

was there last week of december last year and it was VERY cold.
also they do have a small shutdown for a couple of weeks because it gets very slow.
can't remember when they said though so you might want to check to be on safe side in case none of the shows are on.
go and see cirque de soleil doing "O" at the bellagio - is fantastic

Cheers guys!
**** conference sounds cool
Don't know if I'd get away with "I can't believe this is here when we come on holiday" to the wife though!
Any recommendations on who is the best to book with, or is it better to book your hotel directly and book a flight yourself etc?
Thanks,
Steve
