Oakley documentation, how to tell from fakes?
hey sorry about the noobish kind of post, was registered here a while ago under another name, no not mycroft lol, so registered a new account now. well back to the subject, recently bought some bargain oakleys off this power seller from the states, took advantage of the great pound vs dollar exchange rate, yeh bit sceptical kind of hearing the odd story about dodgy sunglasses, so just wondering whether anyone on here can give me some help to distinguish genuine oakleys from fakes and what sort of documentation i should be looking for to accompany them when they arrived.
thanks

Ive just had a quick look. My Juliets have a serial number on the LEFT arm. Maybe contacting Oakley with that will provide an answer? But in all honesty you are taking a chance. At least with a high street supplier you have some come back, and you KNOW that they are unlikely to allow damage to your eyes. All these cheapo ones you see £5 specials Im always concerned they dont provide effective sun protection.
Got an eBay link?

nah sorry, but here's the guys shop, he seems very legitimet, very useful with enquiries etc, yeh just checked out the oakley site, you can send the sunglasses off for verification if you're not sure and they'll send you back a confirmation if they are genuine or not, so will probably try that out, also there are documents you always get with oakleys when you buy them, what are they?

Also checked out alot of his previously sold oakleys aswell, and they all seem very genuine with good customer satisfaction.

They are genuine i am 99% sure
Can spot a pair of fakes a mile off- normally its the lens that is ****e, but there is always something you cant quite put your finger on about the look of the fakes.
