2yr old daughter birthday present?
My daughter is going to be 2 this month and Im wondering what to get her.
I dont live with my daughter as me and the ex plit up.
Her grandperants are getting her toys and the like, however I the last thing she needs is toys as she has so many.
Im wondering what can I get her that is unique and somthing she can look back on?
Any ideas folks?
Scott

As for a sensbile idea, how about lots of time with her dad, to reassure her that he loves her.
I don't know how regularly you see her, but something like a season ticket to a zoo or something, so that she will always associate a fun and happy place with you.

A tattoo.......
But seriously i think your going to struggle, jewellery and such is either going to get lost, broken etc and she will be too young to appreciate it.
If toys are out why not go for premium bonds, at least then she might have a chance of winning something, and its a sort of saving for the future.

Dont know where you are in the country, but I got my son a monkey......
Well, we adopted him a monkey from Monkey world in dorset (its the series on telly) For as little as £15 you fet a pictures, news letters and free entry to the park.
So you could combine a trip with her to see all the monkeys and her own monkey.

Hows about one of those electric cars/4x4's?
my daughters turning 1 at the end of this month and we've bought her an electric quad with lights and all.
Ive built it up already for her birthday at the end of this month and she's had a few goes.
Quite suprised that she picked up how to use it so quickly.
Only thing is she can get the quad to move forward....which she finds hilarious, but she hasnet figured out how to turn yet......loads of fun for her

Premium bonds sound a good idea!
Thanks fellas

We spent hundreds on birthdays prezzies for the kids when they couldn't appreciate all the stuff they got. For Lucy's second, we got her one of those electric jeeps - two seats, seatbelts, 3 gears the heap(400 quid ) I also gave her a cuddly elephant that had been mine when I was young. Strangely, two and a half years later, the jeep sits untouched in the garage, but the elephant goes everywhere. If you question Lucy on why she looks after it so well... "Cos it was yours Dad and you love me enough to let me mind him for you" - so it seems that it isn't either the monetary value or the entertainment value that matters. Thankfully I can get through Christmas with a big bag of kisses and no visa bill now

In agreement with some of the others. Take her out somewhere special and make sure you take lots of pictures maybe make it into an album for her afterwards. do not buy anymore toys she won't appreciate them if she has so many.
