Question How can i find out if someone has died?

I need to find out if a relative has died but i have no contact with my Father (his side of the family). How can i find out?

If you know the locale, maybe try the local births and deaths register?

local newspaper usually publishes something in the aubituaries coloumn? could ask someone from the local area to forward you the papers?

I am making assumption that person is/was of retirement age? If you know where they used to work you could contact the company HR dept and ask if they are paying a pension to your relative. They may be a bit iffy but if they know said person has died I think they will give you the answer. dl
