Default Calling a US mobile? Int access code?

Quick question:

Call a mobile in the states pretty much on a daily basis. From my orange phone I just dial +19177****** and the network automatically sorts the international codes for me.

Am just about to start using a calling card/access number system and it requires me to enter the full international access code(s) with the number.

What should +19177 etc be changed to in order to dial it?

Edit: It shows up on my bill as 320419177**** - would rather find out the correct code before i dial wrong and get some confused random in iraq or somewhere equally daft (and expensive )

You need to look at www.ratebuster.co.uk if you make calls daily. I call my girlfriends mobile in the usa every day, and it only costs me 1p per minute (from a BT landline) .. I think it's about 10p per minute from my 02 mobile, check with orange how much it is to call 0844 numbers (they are included in my free minutes till they run out)

In the USA, pay and go mobiles charge you for airtime, whether you are making or recieveing calls, so it costs her the same as it would if someone in the states was ringing her.

Cheers - I'll be working over there shortly...good excuse to get the Mrs to call me using her free mobile minutes, and 1p a minute, rather than calling back from there on my mobile, and having a massive barney with the expenses department at work!

Yes it works

tried it last night and have just checked:

Total No. Calls 1
Total Duration (hh:mm:ss) 01:27:07
Total Charges (£) 1.76

I was previously paying in the region of 13 ish p a minute on orange! This works out at under 5p

Shop around- i used rate buster initially too- did some more research and found one that orange dont charge premium rate for calling the access number This way the calls to the access number are in my inclusive minutes (and I have 2 lines both with inclusives- so a lot of free minutes)
wayhay
Be careful with the 0844 numbers- having done some research, it seems once orange and o2 cotton on to it, they make it a premium number at something like 50 p a min
