Default Track driving days...

Question.
Its my 21st birthday in october 13th, lucky me

Right, ok,My parents said what would you like for your 21st as it is a special time in my life. I said i would like to a track day and drive a selection of performance cars etc.. say at a circuit like brans hatch, silverstone etc..

and my question you you SN members is: is there a mininum age you have to be, or to have been driving for x number of years.

I think i know the answer to this, but just wanted to clear this up.

You normally need to have a full UK driving licence - other than that you should be OK. Best to check in advance though. Have a look at Bedford Autodrome - great 1st track - not as daunting as some tracks, loads of run off points and very quick!

Brands Hatch says you only have to have held a full uk licence for over a year, and not be over 16/18 stone

But you can only run your own car, unless you book up the corporate hospitality route. If I'm wrong tell me who to make the cheque payable to!

I enjoyed a half-day at Thruxton, drove a Ferrari F355 and a 911 Turbo for <£300 if I recall correctly.
