DVB-T booster - any point?
Hi,
I only get reception on some digital channels at my new house, for some reason - ITV, C4, E4, etc. are missing - just a red dot on screen.
Is a signal booster likely to make any difference?
Can't change the aerial, as I'm only renting for 6 months.
Thanks.

I was told that with analogue as the signal weakens you get a fuzzier picture, with digital it is fine until the error is so great the picture is lost completely (the red dot).
A booster may help the signal, but it may be woth checking for obstructions such as trees and so on as these used to play merry heck with my digital reception where I used to live. Also try asking around to see if anybody near by can get a decent signal.

I had that problem first of all. Its not locking onto one of the tranmitters, you could upgrade the aerial, which is what was suggested to me, but I kept re-scanning the channels repeatedly until it finally got a signal lock, took upto an hour but I now have all the channels.
