Seems it is not going to be long before our meant can be grown in a lab rather than on an animal.
Has lots of potential benefits, I'm just not sure I would want to eat it.

Without knowing more about the actual process the worry, in my opinion, about meat formed in this manner is that it would almost be *too* pure. When we eat meat we are eating more than just pure muscle tissue,we are also eating minerals, vitamins and fats contained not just in the muscle but the connective tissues, blood, skin etc.

Dont buy meat in supermarkets anyway. As for restaraunts as long as they stick to serving what they say they are serving and you know and trust them then I dont see a problem.

Try thinking outside your own little box for a while. Normal meat production consumes vast amounts of energy (think how many kJ of arable crops you have to put into a cow to get a bit of steak with a couple of kJ of energy into it). I think that long-term this could have applications in third-world countries. Surely it's got to be better than what goes into a chicken nugget presently (lips, bums, brain tissue, etc.)

I certainly don't fancy it anyway. Has this stuff got life as such while it is growing?
I agree about the chicken mass production too, I have seen it happening and it is truly cruelty born of greed.
