Thumbs up John McCrirrick - Well Said That Man

Never thought much of McCrirrick personally, but I do feel that the fact that he alone had the ***** to comment on Bliar's non-appearance at Robin Cook's funeral service deserves wider acclaim than the BBC is giving it

Robin Cook RIP I didn't agree with any but one of your policies, but I admired your principles nonetheless

Being apolitical for a moment.....

I don't think it is right for someone NOT in the family to show that much disrespect at a funeral service to do what he did. The day was about Robin, NOT Blair!! Robin Cook's agent was quoted as saying that it was NOT what Robin would have wanted....imagine your husband had died, and some ar$e who you don't really know starts mouthing off at the funeral? No no no. Poor form. There was plenty of time AFTER the funeral service to make his point to the press.

Second. Blair has a young child. He hardly ever gets a holiday. In the end, it's just an ex-work colleague (after all, he was no longer in the Cabinet). Would you have broken off your SOLE family holiday to go to a ex-workmate's funeral? I think not....

In a job like the PM's, you NEED a holiday!! Remember, Blair's health hasn't been 100% either!!

As per usual, whatever he had done, it'd have been wrong. Taxpayers paying for his flight home/back etc....

Thumbs up

what utter rubbish. Blair is entitled to his holiday without running about to funerals to non family members. what is it these days that politicians are "required" to interrupt holidays abroad to attend these, and related, functions.

lets not forget that Blair has had his own heart problems and surely deserves a stress free break away from what has to be one of the most stressful jobs around.

notwithstanding blair probably hated Cook anyway. Cook was no angel when he was in office. Principals my ****, look how he done the dirty on his ex wife.

Well said.
Using Robin Cook's funeral as a platform to attack Tony Blair was completely inappropriate. The press would have done the job for him the next day.

But won't he have a memorial service some time? Blair could attend that which might be more appropriate anyway.

Was his ex-wife allowed in btw??

RACING PUNDIT JOHN McCRIRICK
I believe the prime minister's snub to Robin's family, to millions of new Labour voters, demonstrates a petty vindictiveness and moral failure, opting to continue snorkelling instead of doing his duty.
It was an inappropriate place to say it, but it is so very true!!!

1) Tony was snubbing millions of voters? Eh? How?
2) Vindictiveness? Eh? Not heard him say anything vindictive in the last week.
3) Morals? Eh? What's morality got to do with it? He's on holiday. When did you last break off a holiday for the funeral of an EX-work colleague?

PS I've never voted labour if that helps

Good grief. Do any of you understand how the world works?

1) Terror alert. What? You think him being in London standing guard is going to help?

2) Petrol prices. The cost of crude oil has gone up 50% in the last year. Not much Blair could do to stem this. Massive rising demand from India & China is fuelling the prices mainly. As well as supply issues in the USA (yes, that's right, the USA - even though our supplies are fine). Try blaming the economy, world economics, etc.

3) Ex colleague dies. And?

He's on holiday. Does everyone in this country deserve a few days holiday once in a while?

No, it probably makes the country safer by him being away. In fact I wish he'd just fukc off on a permanent basis.

1) people in london are at risk every day *** a direct result of this ***** meddling in iraq while he is sunning it up on a 80 day holiday

2) as a result of the iraq war it has created tension in the middle east pushing up oil prices, also labour have upped fuel duty every year they have been in power
3) an old colleague dies that had more decency than the whole of the fookin scum labour party

I see. Which part of Iraq did the London bombers come from? The North Yorkshire region of Iraq?

Oil prices are rising for a multitude of reasons, of which the Middle East is just one.

Sorry to pick on you chap, but there really is some ignorant tosh being peddled in this thread.

1. People are at risk because treasonous Islamic hotheads can't keep a lid on it.

2. Chinese demand is the root cause of world oil price rises.
Also, I found this on the RAC website concerning your 'fact' that NL have upped fuel duty every year:
2002 - Freeze on all road fuel duty and other duties, with a 2p reduction in ultra low sulphur and unleaded petrol. A 3p reduction in low sulphur diesel, both affective from March 7, 2001.

2003 – fuel duty rose in line with inflation. Duty on bio-fuels was reduced.

2004 – no fuel duty increase due to high world prices

3. You tag an adulterer with the word decency?

4. McCnutrick is a washed up old tosser.

Agree totally.

I'm no fan of Blair, but who really gives a to$$ what a 'racing pundit' thinks about politics?! McCrirrick is a tw@t, and he was disrespectful in the extreme to RC's family.

If Blair thought it was appropriate to return for the funeral (for example if it was someone he cared about or respected) then I'm sure he would have.

Personally if it was me, i'd be buggered if i'd screw up a hard earned holiday to come home for the funeral of an ex-collegue who i didn't particularly like anyway. I might briefly raise an ale for him, maybe.

If you had a work colleague / employee that you didn't like, would you break your holiday to go to their funeral?

LOL @ the needs a holiday thing.... Cant break it for a long standing colleague.... Not just any colleague but part of his former management team...
I wonder if Bliar booked his hollibob through Thomas Cook? Nope so could he have flown back at the taxpayers expense to pay his respects? Yes.. Did he? No...
He offers himself for a job (so no sympathy for having kids etc) he chooses to remain in that job and cant be ar$ed flying back for a day (oooo how would his family cope) to pay his respects...
God bless John Mcrirrick and all his jewellery...
Tony Blair.... the worst leader in peacetime but with the best spin doctors and a will to increase the working classes to keep the loser in power.... Kiddy trust funds.... Every Shane and Tracey encouraged to reproduce...
