Never understood the pirate DVD swindle. What a waste of time, a friend buys them quite often, but I can't stand to watch them. Whats the point of having a good TV, DVD player and sound set up and watching a blockbuster with none of the atmosphere or quality that was intended?
Anyway, I may or may not have done one of the others, probably the most common.

1.Buying copied dvd's.
Only of exceptionally good movies that I can't wait for the proper release, and even then I tend to buy extremely good copies which in the past have been almost as good as the originals (some actually better) and then I buy the original when it's released. Don't ever bother with the snides for a fiver down the pub as they are always a disappointment, especially for those whom seek out the best version of each purchase from anywhere in the world based on sound format, PQ, extras and packaging.
2.Buying copied music on MP3.
MP3's are like ****, they're free aren't they
3.Downloading films or music from peer to peer sites
That's why God invented Bittorrent and Limewire isn't it
4.Buying pirated software.
See answer to 2.
5.Importing XXX films which technically are illegal to import into the UK.

None for me. Piracy is a shameful practice. Artists such as Metallica and Dr. Dre and the film & software corporations need our money so they can buy more Ferraris, speedboats, support cocaine habits, etc. so I think we should all chip in for the poor buggers despite them generally shafting the public for the last 50 or so years.

I never buy copied DVD's o CD's. I've spent too much money on hardware to then watch or listen to crap copies just to save a few quid. If there is a movie I really want to watch I'll go to the Cinema.
But I'll admit it's a different story when it comes to computer software.
Cheers

The only movie download I had comprised of two AVI files for Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars. I nabbed a copy from a friend and watched it, sound and vision were ok, but nothing special, hence the reason I'll be purchasing the DVD at some point.
I'm with others on this point, why bother with crappy quailty movies when you've got a top notch AV system, does not make sense.
Music, yup, I've downloaded the odd song or so, but I'm a good lad now and purchase my music from iTMS, unless there's some song they don't have that I really want.
