This just proves terrorism isn't just about Iraq...

I hope the World stands up and sees this for what it is. These two men were nothing to do with the West or the Invasion of Iraq by the US and UK. Murdering two Algerians should highlight to the World that al Qaeda is murdering anyone they feel like has offended Islam in their eyes. Algeria is not an ally of the US or UK. Its nothing to do with the invasion of Iraq.
Iraq is just an easy way and excuse to murder people by Zarqawi

I don't think anybody is claiming that ALL terrorism is a direct result of Iraq / Afghanistan. Nor, is anybody stating the UK attacks are soley a result of this either, but it sure as hell increased the risk.

I'm surprised that you ever thought that Al Qaeda and associates really needed a cause. They are just thugs using whatever they can to cause trouble and make themselves appear important.

No I think people believe the threat is more greater to the UK now because of Iraq and Afganistan.... dont think there are many people thick enough to believe thats where Al Qaeda came from, especially since 9/11 was done by Al Qaeda and the bombings a couple of years ealier below the WTC. We wasnt attacking Afganistan then either

Davegtt your missunderstanding me, i've realised all along whats its about, its the people who haven't realised this who need to be seeing that the murder of Algerians is totally unrelated to any US/UK actions. Just look at some of the comments from previous threads, on news websites with readers comments etc and its pretty worrying to think there are so many people who don't understand the real reasons behind whats happened.
Had we been in Iraq or not al Qaeda would still have got to us, their network of terrorism just took time to build out from the gulf region and spread to Europe and South East Asia. All Iraq did was give al Qaeda more firepower to twist Islam and extremist Muslims to their beliefs.

No not missed the point mate, I do understnad you have enough knowledge on the subject... But I dont think its mainly thought off that terrorism is because of Iraq. There are very few are that are that short sighted IMO, not saying there aint some numpties out there that do believe that but theyre probably too thick to pursuade otherwise anyhow...
