Unhappy Another victory for the hooded masses

link

It seems that even the pitiful powers the police have over street yobs is being eroded.

Yes, true.

But at the moment ASBO's and curfews are the only punishments for yobbish behaviour in under 16's Pete and I know that behaviour is something that gets on your wick too. Remember this curfew law was only pertinent to unaccompanied under 16's after 9pm.

Since when does having an ID card stop you walking the streets when you want to??

Even when the limp dicked government tries to control the yob culture it has created some 'human rights' lawyer will invoke EU legislation to prevent them. I does seem to be a spiralling cycle of decline where 'rights' rule over law.

Thats my point ...... ALL UNDER 16's!!

I know many, many decent kids of 15 .... they wander about the town in gangs because they like each others company - they 'generally' do no harm.

Like you said - I HATE scum - and in my capacity I remove them from school if they are not allowing the decent kids learn.

We cannot have a 'blanket' ban ........... its simply not fair on the 95% of 15 year olds who are perfectly ok!.

Why should the actions of a few 'street yobs'' dictate to the vast numbers of well behaved teenagers when they must be indoors? The inocent musn't be criminalised because of the actions of a few.

What about the older generations labelling the teenagers?? The shops getting them to 'move along'??

Like I said, plenty of very decent teenagers walk our streets and hang about street corners ..................... just as the Mods and Rockers did 50 years ago!!

Yes, 50 years ago!! It's no different now, with the exception of some people believing the hype and hysteria ................ like YOUR comment!

When was the last time anyone on here was hurt by a teenager?? Come on, honest answers please!!

ALL teenagers should be labelled yobs until they prove themselves otherwise.

Then perhaps they can be allowed to roam the streets at night unsupervised.

Is she f*ck. My girlfriend watched her doing it and called the law but the girl's mates said she was in an indian restaurant at the time so it was her word against my gf's and the CPS dropped the case.

BTW I made one call to the restaurant and invalidated her story but the police didn't care by then.

It happened at 11.30pm so a curfew might have saved me a few quid

A stupid law destined for the bin where it belongs !

15 year old criminals should be birched.

If that doesn't cure them they should be given a public kicking (I volunteer my services as chief chav kicker inner).

If that doesn't work - lethal injection to rid us of their scummy worthless life !

A little right wing for most - but I guarantee it would sort the "Yob" culture overnignt !

What are you blubbering on about now???

Our present is one where decent people can't walk the streets at night for fear of attack by gangs ferral youth who have no parental control or other supervision. The Police have no option but to step in and remove such 'people'. That's the kind of society we have to live in today thanks to you know who.

Rape is largely carried out by Men - Lets stop Men going out at night.

This is a golden opportunity to slag off NL and you've made an ar$e of it !

That should shut the idiot up.

It's just awful what is happening to society currently and we can't do anything about because of all these stupid 'human rights' types.

I saw this report. I agree with the kid. I don't see that the police/local council should have the power to ban any under-16 yr old from a public place.

I do agree that the police should have power to ban any troublemaking kid from a public place.

That's the difference. Too bad some of you are too simple to see it.

What I said, ********, was this:-

"When was the last time anyone on here was hurt by a teenager"

Note the word HERE, you halfwit

And none of those who died would have lived if there was a curfew - these yobs do NOT abide by curfews!!

So wrap your neck in!

No problem with it myself but this ruling erodes the [already feeble] powers of the police to keep the ones who have been in, or are causing, trouble off of the streets at night. Prior to this, when a large gang of kids were acting in a threatening manner the police were able to make them go home, now they can't. Surely that's the fundemental problem here?

No one wants innocent people persecuted by the police but it's already hard enough to get them interested in teenage crime (I know this first hand) and eroding their ability to deal with troublemakers will only make them more reluctant.

Why would the police want to make a 15yr old lad who's walking home from the cinema (to use someone else's example) go home anyway? Don't you think they've got better things to do with their time?

I agree that 15 year old criminals and the other ages below who are little ****s, making grannies lives a misery should be dragged around the community they terrorise and have everyone throw stuff and spit at them.

We need to humiliate them ......

However, a law that stops innocent 15 year olds from walking home from the pictures at 9pm is NOT on!

Pete
