What is it with some scoobynetters and macho bullsh[t??
There seems to be a lot more keyboard warriors on scoobynet lately.
In fact over the past two days ive seen people threaten to kill people, behead them, bury them, call them pr[cks, prize ****, c{}nts etc etc
why oh why do people seem to resort to gutter comments when they have (in the majority of cases) NO IDEA who they are threatening?
i'm sure some people on here can handle themselves very well, but some seem to just relish throwing cyber insults thinking they

Sometimes we all get a bit passionate when it appears another is discrediting or ridiculing our opinions. I'm sure we'd act differently in face-to-face situations because our emotions are easier to read and therefore react accordingly to. On here, it's often felt that a point has to be driven home with a sledgehammer to give it any credibility. It's not right but it's always going to be unavoidable. I'm as guilty of it as the next. I try not to troll or deliberately type things to cause offence or a reaction but the injustice felt when a valid argument is dismissed for no reason other than the protagonist has a cast iron will and belief that they're right can sometimes push me into name calling territory.

Months ago I think, I got wazzed off with someone on SN and suggested we discuss it in the same room... What was I thinking? Incredibly childish...
I've learnt now to ignore any threads that wind me up (except ones who refer rubbish drivers to pepipoo - red rag to a bull there). I much prefer having a laugh on here, making friends and sharing knowledge and opinions...
So far no-one has threatened to "do me in" on SN (cool), but a threat to someone on here, in front of all these people is just a sign of weakness and rubbish cover for having a weak point of view - something we all can see for what it is...

As I posted in the chill pill thread:-
Alot of macho chest puffing goes on around here... People cant get over the fact they might be wrong about something and put their backs up, rather than looking at a subject from both sides.
I think this place would be better if people gathered informed opinions on subjects instead of posting up boarish posturing media led BS.

I think part of the reason is that it's summer school holiday, so all the salad dodging keyboard ninja's are posting, instead of being out in the sun enjoying summer.

You surprise me that you bother to ask, and start a fresh thread to boot, instead of letting the remarks aimed in your direction go over you.
People can threaten or abuse all they like here (until banned I guess), they really have absolutely no idea who they are aiming their vitriol towards.
How many times do you see it happen on the road in vehicles? Give 99% of the same guys a job to retrieve a legitimate debt from somebody and they'd shít themselves with the thought of a face to face meeting unless they had an army as back-up waiting outside.
I rest quite happily that anything negative said here, would almost certainly be not carried over to a face to face confrontation so it actually makes it laughable.
In most cases though the individual probably finds it too hard to communicate like an adult without resulting to or implying an aggressive slant in their posts.
It's not difficult to spot the few that are relatively happy with "their lot" and also the others that are struggling to establish themselves by way of empty threats in the hope it improves their chest hair quota. (even the women looking at some of the photos).

Keyboard warriors are much more entertaining than the all the Newbie Trolls that have taken us through the 50,000 member barrier.
