Wait until next month when the MPC brings down the interest rate.

A good one
We are buying the property with the intentions of selling it in 2 years time hence not really wanting to go with more.
If I could find one with fees paid, low monthly payments and no penalties then I would be delighted..and if they want to throw some cashback at me then I would let them
Just interested to see what products are out there.

Nationwide are offering a 2 year fixed at 4.49% with a £389 reservation fee. You can make up to £500/month in overpayments, but any more than that and redemption penalties of 2% apply in year 1 and 1% in year 2.

The markets are pricing in at least two rate cuts in the next 6 months though. When I looked a week or so ago, if you were an institution and knew you wanted to borrow sterling in the first 3 months of next year and wanted to lock in a rate now for the loan you could do so at 4.35%

Gary.
