Unhappy 40.26 to fill my car up......first time over 40 quid!!!!!!!

Its the first time its cost me over 40 quid.Morrisons put unleaded up yesterday.Amid all the stuff going on in London no-one seems to have noticed.
Its now 87.9 p per litre.

Not a happy motorist.

I went on holiday for 5 weeks. Nearly had heart failure when I noticed Optimax was 93.9p in my area too

Still we can all be content that the roads are in great condition, the health service has no waiting lists and the education system is second to none

85.9p/litre NUL - Esso/Tesco Express
86.9p/litre NUL - Tesco Superstore

And they are about 1.5 miels apart and probably get the same tankers doing the deliveries!

Prices have been going up in line with oil costs for past 6-9 months. The producers are adding 0.2p here, 0.1p there etc hoping no-one will pick up on it. Probable reason is that not many people fill their tanks right up from near empty and therefore don't know how much it costs them. Most people just put in £10 or £20 at a time and won't notice the minimal increases that have been put upon us recently.

Oh, and don't expect the prices to fall when oil costs do.......never has and never will. We're still being fleeced to death on fuel in this country.

It's like getting a Tesco 5p off a litre of fuel. If the Forester were completely empty and I needed to fill up with 60 litres, it would only save me £3, over what would normally be nearly £53!

Mart, if one's a proper supermarket and one's a Tesco Express that'd explain the inconsistency. Tesco Expresses are merely rebadged Esso garages. Tesco lease the shop part and Esso fix the fuel Prices. It's the Same with Safeway/Morrisons and BP.

Fill the van with DERV twice a week (most weeks anyway) £75.00 a pop,.

Its got a 90ltr tank, although i normally get 650 miles out of that!!

Fill the scoob up about twice a month also, so theres another £90 ....

Expensive business this driving lark..

Land Rover Discovery V8
put £85 in it on Saturday
The fuel warning light came on this morning
Don't know how long I can keep this up, it's a great car but the pain at the pumps is starting to tell.
