I would hope that the security around airports would make that unlikely, far easier targets out there TBH and ones that will create huge disruption, as we have seen already today.

I think now the security is so tight it makes it difficult, and even the slightest hint of a plane being off flight pass without a damn good reason means a load of fighters scrambled to escort and if need be shoot it down before reaching any area of population.

i worried about footie stadiums imagine 60 thousand or 50 thousand people in a footie stadium and all it needs is 4 terrorists or bombs in each corner to cause devastation

their should be more security for them as well

How much easier is it for baddies to cause mass panic and "conversation" nowadays with 24/7 TV.

Todays problems, while tragic, are getting the same TV coverage as 9/11 did - and is being called "our 9/11". Yet the death toll and destruction is not a million miles away from something like the Paddington train crash.

It seems that nowadays terrorists dont need massive bombs (and the risk that goes with planting them) just small bombs and sky news and they have people worrying about all sorts of stuff!

I would say you are more likley to kill yourself than get blown up on a plane this week......bit of perspective needed.

The media will blow this all out of proportion as per usual because these events give them a hard-on.

I don't want to make light of today's events but let's put this in some kind of perspective.

How many people will have died today from road accidents, MRSA etc etc. Even with today's events the likelihood of you being killed by a terrorist is very small.

and hopefully none of yours died from a heart attack - which is more likely!

the point is perspective.....funny as last week we were being told 30,000 kids die a day from poverty - theres some perspective!

i doubt it was even al qaida , it would have been alot bigger if it was and lets say for example it was osamas mob maybe he didnt want to use a bigger bomb or maybe it was a warning, or maybe he didnt want to bomb his beloved london where his team arsenal come from, i doubt it though

I live in London and my sister works in the city and takes the bus there. I don't know what point you're exactly trying to make.

The easiest targets are the thousands of pylons across the country. many miles from anybody and anything. Knock out the national grid and you see how quickly things grind to a halt.

Read the thread and read my response. Accidents or murder, death is death. That doesn't change the possibility of dying.

No, I didn't say that. Don't put words in my mouth. Try and read what I said. It was in response to people's fears of being involved in another terrorist attack.

Oh, and btw, I just spoke to my sister and she took the bus this evening back home as well from the city. If you want to add to all the hysteria then fine but that's the last thing we should be doing.

here is what you said , its not a case of the media blowing things out of proportion ,its a case of mass murder .
