Exclamation Lifts home / Assistance / Travel News 7/7/05

I'm not in London so it's not really my place but I wondered if there was any virtue in a thread where SN folks who could offer assistance, such as lifts home, to other SN members could post?

Seems like a reasonable idea in view of the number of people who might be stuck tonight. Maybe there are a few people here in a position to help others out and to do their bit in the fight against terrorism.

Good idea Hedgehog - I'll make this one 'sticky' for this evening. Might be worth using this thread to update travel details, rather than it being lost in the bigger threads running at the moment.

Latest I heard was that they were trying to get a limited Tube service running on the Jubliee, Victoria and Northern lines, later this evening.

Unhappy

FWIW the M1 northbound 5-10 was a breeze this evening, with nowhere near the level of traffic normal in rush hour.
