Default G8 Violence

Watching it on Sky.
And have to say. What are the police doing ??
Have a watch and see what you think. They dont seem to be holding up the protestors (TheViolent ones)
The police are in there battle gear but are being pushed back and not holding there own. Check out Sky active to see what i mean.

As for the violance its just pure bloody mindedness, They are smashing innocent peoples belongings.
The Film crew have just videoed them smashing up a burger king for 30 mins ???

Pointless, Mindless.... The police need to get tough

Really drives home the message behind the march doesn't it.

Bunch of w*nkers. I wish they'd get this emotional about some issues closer to home.

2 very easy ways to solve:

a) explain, nicely, that violent protestors will get tazzered.

or

b) have the G8 say "fair play, you win - you have stopped us meeting so we are going home.........oh, so **** Africa, well done"

Across from my office in Stirling we have a smashed Burger King, Morrisons and pizza hut. Further up the road they have attacked a Bank of Scotland and a Peugeot garage.

Behind my office is where one of the camp sites, or eco-village as they like to call it, is situated. For days now the police presence has been very very noticeable, especially the helicopter that circled my estate for an hour or so last night.

The majority of the poeple I have seen have been the usual peaceful protesters but there is obviously a lot of the organised anarchists around as well.

The news should have some more interesting footage tonight.

Wouldn't mind being there and putting the boot in myself. Nothing better than a good old fashioned riot and some police baiting. Reminds me of my "reclaim the streets" days.

My best friend who's an Inspector with the Met is working up there at the moment, I asked him to bash a few of the anarchist, dole scrounging, tree hugging, bastids for me

May I say what a thoroughly disgusting individual you are, to wish that on anyone not least someone serving the community is beyond reprehensible.

May I say what a prized w@nker you really are I bet you'd be one of the first to cry 'Police Brutality' and sue if you did dare to step out from behind your keyboard:****:

IMO there is no such thing as police brutality, if these w@nkers are still able to walk and talk after their arrest, the police were obviously too soft on them

Thanks for your opinions however I don't regard a gang of bully boys in uniform as "serving the community". More the armed tools of state repression.

As for suing for police brutality I'd definitely have done that if I thought I could have done. I'm a veteran of many demonstrations including the poll tax protests and we had a great time. I won't go into details for obvious reasons but let me assure you I'm surethere is nothing better than a bit of revenge after you've seen someone in uniform beating a young woman for not moving 'fast enough' or whatever the excuse was.
You know that feeling you get when you kick a ball in the sweet spot and it just flies............

Not to mention various "reclaim the streets" demos, anti capitalist demos etc. I don't actually have much of an agenda politically other than revelling in anarchy in all it's forms.

Those vans are easy to tip over- so I'm told.

I should add far from being peasants many of the protestors are in fact from nice middle class homes and just do it to p1ss off the parents. Apart from those that were hard to the core like my good self.
Those were the days..........too busy raking in the filthy lucre from various morally bankrupt sources these days though.....

Result eh? From my point of view it's good that those traditionally on the 'other side' ie the hunting brigade got a good taste of how the government puts down people who don't agree with it's agenda. Wouldn't even surprise me if some special branch protestors started a bit of a ruck so the police could really get stuck in.
Once you've seen the police beating up some poor old sod for **** all you start to realise what it's really all about.
Let's burn the place down to the ground..........

Peaceful country folk my **** ajm.

Stop being selective in what you choose to see. The evidence indicates a bunch of aggressive, wound up troublemakers having a go.

Being a peasant is a mentality, not at all based on wealth.

I didn't say it was, merely that using the term peasant didn't apply to many of the protestors I used to see and probably not to many of those at the G8 today. They were just playing at being bad asses, they are probably sat around these days watching the G8 on TV and saying how awful all the protestors are themselves.
The true 'peasants' are proud of it and prepared to do whatever it takes to make sure the beast doesn't win it's final victory.

edit to add: smash and burn! make 'em learn!

Well done the violent protestors - just managed to have the main, peaceful and worthy rally to Gleneagles cancelled.

Top job to the balaclava'd arseholes.....

IMO ANYONE "protesting" in a mask to hide his/her identity should be arrested on sight.

I suspect the main protagonists are local Scots trying to mar the whole event!

No I didn't, you just read it that way, do pay attention. I should add for the avoidance of doubt that if you wish to label me a peasant it's a label I'd be proud to wear, if that's what you were getting at.

It was edited at 11.01 ie before your comment at 11.06. Being middle class has nothing to do with wealth a point you are being obtuse about.

My point is that these people you referred to as 'peasants' simply aren't. They are playing at protesting rather than being true enemies of the state like some I could mention.
