1984 critics bullied by New Labour Ministers
It is unfortunate that, on an issue where the civil liberties concerns are so serious, the government should have chosen to adopt a bullying approach to critics
Unfortunate perhaps, but no surprise to those of us that understand this Government's intentions. Expect ever increasing amounts bullying and intimidation for all of us as New Labour's Stalinist Superstate takes shape.

Time was when research and comment from the LSE was welcomed by the Labour Party. New Labour, of course, is a different animal.
Although not strictly true, that institution has been thought of as "to the left".
I would rather believe academic research than Government "spin", in this instance.
Yes I think there is something fundamentally anti democratic about NL that wasn't present in the Labour Party.
Which is why I believe libertarians, whether left or right, should fight this evil proposal.

Hello. This is Charles Clarke. I have been misquoted: I think you'll find I said that it in fact is me who is "technically incompetent." I also have a potato-head, size 20 shoes, a flower in my lapel that squirts water plus my ministerial car is bright yellow, has square wheels and a squeezy bulb horn.
