Default Betsw-y-Coed, North Wales

Planning a trip to Betsw-y-Coed for a couple of days. Can anyone please recommend reasonable accomodation.
Also, Evo Magazine tend to spend much time road testing around these parts. Can anyone remember a particular issue where they have a big test around North Wales naming all the good roads.

Thanks

Nick

Nice area, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, fantastic driving roads until Brunstrom got his claws out

If you fancy something hairy, try the narrow mountain road over Dylife (part of the road from Machynlleth to Llanidloes, the narrow bit starts near Staylittle).

Awesome views. About an hour south of Betws I guess.

mmmmm... a5-tastic.

if you're coming from england, get on the a5 somewhere near the border (just south of wrectum, i mean wrexham) and come all the way along to betws. then you've got either south down the a470 (what a road) or north up the a470 to llandudno with loads of hotels/b&bs etc.

or go to bangor along the *** then down the a5 to betws - also a phenomenal road. in fact, they ALL are!

give us a PM when you come and i'll show you the sights if you want!

There is a massive pub called the Royal Oak in the middle of Betsw-y..Serve good ale and food too..and Rhiannon behind the bar is worth a peek at!!
Nice place to stay too..

Im sure there is a couple more pubs too,and there is a few places to have a scran...

Theres the Swallow falls up the road too..

Ryhl it aint..but thats a good thing!!!

Drove on the road from Betsw to Fachwen once in the middle of the night, flat out in my GT4,touched a small rockslide with my inside wheel, and did a 360 degree spin without touching anything...very very lucky,my brown eye was still takin photo's the mornin after!!!

Zoom out on this gem for the location. I have never driven it, but I want to like nothing else.

I also seem to remember the road across from Ffestiniog/Trawsfynydd way to somewhere near Bala was a lot of fun, although that's a fair few years ago and my memory may be failing. Best place to stay - I remember a campsite halfway up the Llanberis pass, £3/night, 100m walk to the nearest pub, plus the tent next door with a couple of attractive females to join us for further drinks etc after closing time - couldn't complain at that!
