Betsw-y-Coed, North Wales
Planning a trip to Betsw-y-Coed for a couple of days. Can anyone please recommend reasonable accomodation.
Also, Evo Magazine tend to spend much time road testing around these parts. Can anyone remember a particular issue where they have a big test around North Wales naming all the good roads.
Thanks
Nick

If you fancy something hairy, try the narrow mountain road over Dylife (part of the road from Machynlleth to Llanidloes, the narrow bit starts near Staylittle).
Awesome views. About an hour south of Betws I guess.

mmmmm... a5-tastic.
if you're coming from england, get on the a5 somewhere near the border (just south of wrectum, i mean wrexham) and come all the way along to betws. then you've got either south down the a470 (what a road) or north up the a470 to llandudno with loads of hotels/b&bs etc.
or go to bangor along the *** then down the a5 to betws - also a phenomenal road. in fact, they ALL are!
give us a PM when you come and i'll show you the sights if you want!

Ever heard of a touge run?
Zoom out on this gem for the location. I have never driven it, but I want to like nothing else.

I also seem to remember the road across from Ffestiniog/Trawsfynydd way to somewhere near Bala was a lot of fun, although that's a fair few years ago and my memory may be failing. Best place to stay - I remember a campsite halfway up the Llanberis pass, £3/night, 100m walk to the nearest pub, plus the tent next door with a couple of attractive females to join us for further drinks etc after closing time - couldn't complain at that!
