When he first hit the scene I thought he was funny but after watching some of lastnights show I found myself ...well...not laughing.
I think the main thing was looking at him I found myself thinking,
you know, these are what the bad things in the UK are all about ! A fat **** sitting boozing, smoking and shouting and swearing at people he doesnt know
Sorry mate NOT FUNNY !
Fair play to the guy for earning a living from it but I feel he will soon no longer be the flavour of the month.

And I thought I was alone in not liking him!!
Do not find him funny at all, just one abusive fat guy with a drinking problem in my book and shouldn't be encouraged by showing him on TV!

Agree with the above. Only reason he's on TV is to make us feel a bit better about ourselves methinks!!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm of to the gym!! :-)

He can be funny. I thought his routine on Room 101 about becoming hooked on an internet chat site was chokingly funny.
As you say though... not much cop on this.

Although I haven't seen his new "show", everything I've seen of him before is like chewing tinfoil. That he is considered entertaining, let alone funny, is as baffling to me as why Harry Hill was popular.

Can be funny wait till "Ideal" comes on terrestrial from bbc three he was quite good as a comedy Character but this new show is utter ****e and could kill his career if he's not careful

"I like bees - not for the honey but for their fur!" - HH was fantastic in the early days.
And this is just like Vegas. Last nights show was 99% "produced", although Johnny did manage quite a few spontaneous responses.
Mike Harding and Phil Cool (amongst many others) also suffered from the faceless (scriptwriter) ones, after initially displaying new and unique talent.

I went up and watched filming of one of the 18 stone of idiot shows (one with David soul). To be honest it was a bit cringey even at the time (a few tumble weed moments). Best bit was the warm up bloke who was funny, plus a kid that met us in London (cousin of a friend who took us) got dragged up and pumped by vegas.

I gotta admit..i think the show is really hit and miss..and if you live south of St Helens..probably all miss..
I dont think Vegas can work this kinda TV thing..Ideal was good, better than most sitcoms on terrestial TV,BUT his comedy lies in stand up..Being the drunken shambling bum is appreciated in smokey dingy clubs and old theatres...
Ive seen him about 6-7 times in stand up and he was brilliant, very quick and inventive with his act..But it doesnt work on TV at all..
The quicker he gets back on tour the better...

Top bloke and very funny - if you're under 40 have a sense of humour and like a few pints on a friday at least anyway...<ooo cutting>
Great return from the pub after 8 pints of Stella television - sitting down with my kebabaries and opening a cold one from the mini fridge in the lounge and bit of JV and celebrity lock in... Excellent.
Might help that he lives just up the road from me - he's a local legend and I'm not surpised a certain element of society (Southeners and comedy snobs) don't like his 'in your face humour...
God bless you JV
