Poor Guy

opened the garage door yesterday and it wouldnt go down. Theres a spool on which wire connectected to the middle of the side of the door goes round in a conical shape.
on the spool the wire had wrapped around stopping the wire being able to drop the door. now the wrie is totally off the spool and the door goes up and down but really wonky.

any ideas?

I had this exact same thing happen to me and spent AGES arsing about with no luck. paid someone 50 quid to come out and they fixed it in seconds. Apparantly if you push a screwdriver into a certain part of the windy/spooly thingy it will wind up and retract and you can make sure the wire goes back round it properly.
