How to remove facia of a nokia 6230
Anyone know how to do this?
The back comes off ok as expected but the front??? The top half seems to come away easily but not the middle/bottom half. Seems like it'll break if I force it so I guess there's a 'technique'?

The technique i developed for this was simple.
Take phone to carphone warehouse, show spotty oik, he will look smugly at you, for a brief second feel better than you, because he can and you cant.
Then to demonstrate how good is actually is will remove said facia whislt talking to you, and not looking at the phone.
Try it bet it works, because those things do break easy ans £20 a time...

Remove back cover, ease out top, slide finger nail down each side to seperate. plastic tag things should pop out. If it's stuck right at the bottom Just pull the phone unit upwards away from fascia.
If that doens't help, force it!

Cheers chaps. Thought I'd have another go, pulled the top away slowly and it all came off nicely! I've no idea how this technique worked though

slide back off by depressing catch and pushing it upwards
the two tabs holding the front on are on the top one at each side- depress them while gently pulling the front forward.
Once they are out then gently pull the other catches out on the side and then its off

Got a 6230i and a lot better built. My old 6230 used to let dust in through the sides and collect under the screen on the fascia.
Simon.
