Mp3 player to Stereo
Have just started in the MP3 / digital encoding music world and am thinking about getting a portable player. Was wondering which make / model would have the right connections to plug into my seperates hifi - I've not got anything fancy (no optical connection just standard line in-out)
Other general question - is there a way to change formats of encoded files, e.g wma to mp3?
Cheers

If you go to http://www.apple.com you can download their free iTunes software. You can use it to rip CDs into whatever format you prefer, and rip existing tracks from one format to another. Very easy to use, sounds good and looks nice.

As far as players go, you'll need to decide what you want really. iPods are generally more expensive, but I have one and wouldn't swap it for anything. Some others have more features like radios and video playback, but it's all down to what you want it to do I guess.
You can get hi-fi cables from Maplins, Ebuyer and no doubt eBay too. Its just a headphone jack to L + R phono leads, basically
