Sequels/Remakes that surpass the original.
As per the title, any arena, music, films, gaming etc. Just thought of this as a thread whilst perusing my MP3 collection so not very well thought through yet !
So, my first few,
1/ Comfortably Numb by the Scissor Sisters, I hate to say this but I prefer it to the Pink Floyd original which is dull in comparison, and I am not gay by the way !
2/ Terminator 2, what a film, the original was more 'cult' and darker but the second one had a much broader appeal.
3/ Freak like me by the Sugababes, much better peice of music than the Gary Numan original, respect to Gary Numan for providing the raw material but the sampled version is so much better.
You get the gist....

Terminator 2 - T1 was good, T2 just outstanding
Aliens - some may say otherwise but IMO this beats Alien, and is one of the best action films of all time.
Cant think of any others really!

Never understand the T2 stuff.....first was a classic, second was a kids film that thought if there were enough effects no one would spot that the Terminator had become about as scary as a Ewok.

Sorry Jack, but IMO all three examples you list are just plain WRONG
Here, however are some examples which DO prove your case
