That bloke (not Pete) was a fooking nutter.
He's got some serious mental issues.
The only reason he was allowed the access was Doherty's drug induced stupidity.

Id disagree about Pet Doherty being talentless. After critical and commercial success with 'The Libertines', was immediately sucessful again with 'BabyShambles'...
He may well be a **** though.

Maybe it's 'cos I'm an old fart but Libertines / Babyshambles remind me of nothing more or less than Serious Drinking or other crappy student bands of the early 80s ..... the only decent tune Doherty's been associated with was the Wolfman "Lovers" single and he didn't write it.

Personally I think Brickboy is right. I heard and worked with more talented pub bands in the early 90's. Nothing about the Libs/BabyShambles is original or done particularly well.

Soz, I agree with brickboy ... the presenter needs taken into care .. and Doherty being talented don't make me laugh .. there's hundreds of folk like him play crappy pubs/clubs all over the place just not so wasted ... and who don't believe their own ego ..
Oooh artistic success in The Libertines and Baby Shambles, wow what massive success and sales .. ...

davegtt, granted he's more talented than half the crap in the charts ... mind you I stopped listening to the charts a while ago as most of it is truly unbearable
Must make me an old fart I suppose .. still think Doherty is nothing special at all, lots of other much more talented bands out there with less media exposure that deserve to be heard by the masses

well, im all with the notion that the guy is a complete moron. Talented? certainly a cut above most mucically - his lyrics are way above your local pub standard, and the libertines really did have that intensity that you need as a band to set you apart from the rest. Bottom line though, if they had been about in the britpop era, they would have been bit part players. Libertines were good, but not anything amasing, people like them because there is absolutely nothing else decent at the moment. jst my 50 pence.

The presenter was an insecure mentalist - at which university was he a media professor? I can't believe tax-payers' money is wasted on his salary. The C4 title "I Stalked Pete Doherty" pretty much summed it up.

I'm sure at some point the documentry maker was described as having bipolar disorder... this would explain the extreme highs and lows he showed in the programme. (which frankly, I found disturbing.. and not in a good way!)
