Ours have their own areas around the house - they can usually be found in one of three areas - on top of the heating pipes, on our bed or under a bed on top of my ski stuff!!!
Is he still in the sink?!?

No he's vacated the premises which means he's probably nextdoor lining up to be fed with the neighbours cats - cheeky little bugger.

I remember staying with a family in Russia. Their cat would hop into the bathroom sink, stick its tail up at 45 degrees, give me an indignant "do you mind not watching" look...

I've got 2 cats, but theres no way I'd let it sit in the sink, I don't even want the grubby little ******* on the bed, but I get overuled on that one I'd give the sink a serious dose of disinfectant if I were you.

One of my cats gets in both the bathroom sink and the bath on a regular basis The sink is usually for a drink, as cats generally wont drink standing water, the bath, generally for somewhere to play at night where she can make the most noise

We've got two cats - one sits in the bath all day and likes chasing cotton buds round it. The other one is too fat to get off his **** and can just about manage the stairs ! I doubt he would fit in your sink .
