Question Another Ebay question

New to Ebay and sold my first few items last week.

One person has not paid, or responded to my emails (I have not posted the
item)

What do you reckon is a reasonable length of time before reporting the item to Ebay as unpaid?

If I report it will the person then give me negative feedback?

Hello and greetings to a fellow Cheshire Scooby driver.

I sell on eBay each day, I give them 7 days before I send them an unpaid reminder email, then after another 7 days if no correspondence I then start the eBay Non-Paying Bidder routine, this is usually is enough.
You will find that people bid on things, forget about them, go away (business or holiday), have P.C. problems etc,.... a little patience is needed and will usually pay off.
Don't neg anyone untill the last resort, I have had late payers who are now regular, on-time buyers.

Hope this helps.

contact within 24 hours (I only use buy it nows, so they cant use the holiday excuse) and payment within 7 days is specified in my listings.

After that its relisted, and then reported/fees claimed as soon as ebays minimum time limit expires

As above.

Always specify a contact time then it's simple.

Whatever you set.

Obviously be realistic but 7 days for payment is plenty of time.

7 days has always worked for me.
I too have been a similar situation in the last few weeks. I bought a new gaitor for my E30 M3 and didnt send payment for about 2 weeks due to house move, new job and not being able to get to a PC....as soon as I was back online sent the person a very nice email, sent the brass right away and retained 100% positive feedback

Ebay themselves set a time limit of 14 days for all payments.
