Default Did Jeremy Clarkson respond...

Did Jeremy Clarkson respond to the claims from Transport 2000 regarding replacing Top Gear with "Third Gear"?!

If so, does anyone have a link to the text? I have an entry on my blog relating to the "incident" and would really like to post an update but havn't managed to find much

Thanks in advance...

Kelvin.

Don't know about Clarkson, but the ABD certainly did: http://www.abd.org.uk/turd_gear.htm

the Editor approaches to gently remonstrate with the speeders and sign them up for an advanced driver safety course. He is released from hospital after treatment

He was one Radio 5 Live and said that they were all "Lentil eating lefties from Islington, who were a bunch of ugly ***ers"

Words to that effect anyway!

I think he's most incisive comment came in his book 'Born to be Riled' in which he referred to them as

"People with too much time and not enough brain syndrome"

Sometimes I wonder whether -in the light of some of their comments on their forums- they are a serious group at all and not just put there by the government to antagonise people.

Their comment likening Top Gear to a program that teaches Burgulary was an insult to everyone's intelligence! It would have been laughable if Joe Public had have made such a comment, the fact that we pay for these idiots makes my blood boil!

Couldn't agree more - it was one of the things I mentioned when I first saw the article on BBC news. It's a total farce that public money is used to pay people to think stuff like this up

Thanks for the pointers by the way guys - i'll keep my eyes peeled for a response from JC on Top Gear then (I can't believe he'll fail to bring it up at some point ). Like the ABD article

Look at it another way:- would you rather those on the other side of the argument were a serious group with well thought out arguments or a bunch of nomarks with laughable arguments?

Best to have a weak, laughable opposition IMHO.

May I suggest you are the one who needs to get a life, following me from post to post across the board like a little doggie, starting polls etc. As far as I'm concerned you are a non-entity, some worthless little tick with an ironic user name and little or no worth.

As it happens I believe completely what I've posted and anyone with an ounce of sense can see having a bunch of maniacs like transport2K only serves to weaken their side of the argument.

The accepted way of getting round the swear filter is to use **** or fvck, stick around for a while longer and you'll learn the ropes.

As for the angling game I'm the one dangling the bait, fresh fish.

Muscular blokes with 'big pecs' and 'tidy bums' may float your boat but posting it on the net is quite another matter.

Have fun tonight and remember - stick to what you know and let the man in your relationship do the giving.

For a 'bigman' you have an exceptionally small wit. Perhaps it will grow if you keep exercising it?

ffs "bigman", the post he made about having a weak bunch of nutters as the oposition, was a good one. You've made yourself look jealous that you didn't think it up - and you're making yourself out to be a right div in the threads today.
